At the college and secondary school level, it is used for numerous experiments, including studies of rotation of sugars, mutarotations, concentration of solutions and many others. In industry, the Glas-Col VERTICAL POLARIMETER is ideal for making quick rough checks on sugars, pharmaceuticals and other optically active substances.Two models are available- front-lighted or side-lighted. Either one can be used with the Glas-Col lamp or other high intensity lamps. Specifications:Side-lighted model POL-2: used with POL/HL High Intensity Lamp POL-HL, which fits flush against Polarimeter.
